Foundation of the Czech Society for Structural Biology

At the VIIIth Discussions in Structural Molecular Biology, forty eight conference participants founded the Czech Society for Structural Biology (CSSB) and elected the board of the Society.

The board would like to ask the founding members to proof-read and if necessary modify the statues of CSSB. Please, send your corrections clearly labeled to Bohdan Schneider by Wednesday, April 14 2010. The board will incorporate suggested corrections if they do not change the spirit of the statues approved at the founding meeting in Nove Hrady on March 19 2010 and register the Society at the Minister of Interior of the Czech Republic during April 2010.

The web pages of the Discussions will soon be updated and modified to serve as the information portal of the CSSB.

As usual, contributions from all aspects of structural molecular biology, crystallography, NMR techniques, bioinformatics, and computer simulations are welcome.

The meeting retains its old organization schema:

Intensive programme from Thursday afternoon to Suturday lunch

Short talks so that everyone gets an opportunity to present

Professional yet cozy environment of castle in Nove Hrady

Plenty of time for informal discussions

Low registration fee for students
